Celebrating how all our differences makes ‘OneTeam’ at Merlin

Monday 21 – Sunday 27 March 2022 is Harmony Week, a time to celebrate the vast multiculturalism of Australia and New Zealand. Our nations are considered to be two of the most successful multicultural countries in the world, and this year, Merlin is ensuring that we celebrate this wonderful notion and work to maintain it.

Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all people, regardless of one’s cultural or linguistic background.

At Merlin, Everybody Belongs

This year, Merlin is coming together as a team to celebrate our diversity. Whether a team member is a First Nations person, a recent migrant, or from a fourth-generation migrant background, we all contribute to our national and workplace diversity and commemorate each other’s differences.

Harmony Week theme this year is ‘Everyone Belongs’, and at Merlin, we go above and beyond to ensure everyone belongs. This is achieved by establishing an inclusive and collaborative work culture, and by showing empathy and respect to everyone – from employees to customers, partners and suppliers.

Our team will also be sporting some bright orange clothing on ‘Go Orange Day’ and decorating our work spaces in the orange theme, to show our support for cultural diversity. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations and also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.

Merlin understands that the success of our team is directly proportionate to the success of the whole organisation, and that our staff are our most valuable assets. We look forward to celebrating our diverse backgrounds together this Harmony Week as after all, at Chamberlain Group, we are all OneTeam!
